Strategic Enhancement of the 2026 APNAC Continental Conference
The 2026 APNAC Continental Conference has been strategically rescheduled to 21–22 September 2026 to maximise parliamentary participation, institutional engagement and continental impact.
From the Office of the APNAC President
Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin
On behalf of the APNAC Executive Leadership and the Continental Secretariat, I am pleased to communicate a strategic enhancement to the 2026 APNAC Continental Conference.
Following extensive consultations between the APNAC Continental Secretariat and the Host Chapter — the Anti-Corruption Network of the National Assembly of Nigeria — the Executive Leadership has approved the rescheduling of the Conference to 21–22 September 2026.
This decision was taken in the collective interest of maximising the Conference's impact. The revised dates will accommodate broader parliamentary participation from across the continent, enable stronger engagement from continental and international anti-corruption institutions, and allow for an expanded programme that reflects the ambition of this landmark gathering.
The Conference remains firmly anchored in its purpose: to commemorate African Anti-Corruption Day and to advance APNAC's continental agenda on integrity, transparency and accountability. The theme — “Integrity, Transparency and Accountability: African Parliaments Pioneering Ethical and Accountable Governance” — remains unchanged.
I am confident that the 2026 APNAC Continental Conference will be our most inclusive, impactful and consequential gathering to date. I look forward to welcoming parliamentary leaders, anti-corruption champions and governance stakeholders from across Africa to Abuja in September.
